About EditorFoto.online

EditorFoto.online is a free photo editor that runs entirely in your browser: you open a photo, edit it and download it — no software to install, no account to create, and no image ever uploaded to a server. It grew out of a simple idea: the everyday operations — cropping, shrinking, fixing a photo — shouldn't require expensive software or handing your pictures over to some platform.

Our philosophy

Three principles drive every decision on this site. Privacy first: photos are processed exclusively on your device and never leave the browser, so we don't have to ask for your trust — we simply never receive your files. Genuinely free: no watermarks on downloads, no features locked behind a subscription, no mandatory sign-up. Simplicity: each tool does one thing and does it with a few clear controls, because resizing a photo for an online form shouldn't require a manual.

How the technology works

Everything is built on the Canvas API, a standard technology present in every modern browser: when you open an image, it's your own computer or phone that decodes it, applies the edits and generates the final file. The site only delivers the page and the tool's code; from that moment on you could even disconnect from the internet and keep working. This approach has two practical consequences: speed doesn't depend on your connection (there's nothing to upload or download except the page itself), and EXIF metadata is stripped automatically on export. Images are handled up to 4096 pixels on the long side, a threshold that's more than adequate for the web, social media and everyday prints.

What you can do here

The tools cover the full day-to-day workflow on a photo:

Alongside the tools you'll find practical guides on formats, social media sizes and compression techniques, written for people who want to understand what they're doing and why.

Who it's for

For anyone who needs to fix a photo right now: the student attaching a scanned document, the seller preparing pictures for a listing, the owner of a small website who wants faster pages, anyone who just needs to straighten and shrink a shot before sending it. If you find a problem or have an idea for a new tool, tell us about it through the contact page: the site grows thanks in part to suggestions from the people who use it.
